Patagonia Tools Conference

Say what you will about their puffy jackets and trucker hats.  'Round here, we're sometimes guilty of both.  Patagonia puts their money where their mouth is when it comes to empowering grassroots advocates and non-profit organizations in their work to protect and restore places we love to hunt, fish, ski, bike, and explore.  

Last fall, I had the chance to attend the Patagonia Grassroots Tools Conference on Fallen Leaf Lake at the Stanford Sierra Camp.  Patagonia's been hosting Tools long enough to know a lot about grassroots advocacy.  They've put that knowledge into a new book entitled "Tools for Grassroots Activists" which will be available in February at your local bookstore, Patagonia shop, or at www.patagonia.com.  We'll have a look inside and a quick review of the book when we get our grubby mitts on a copy, but until then, here's a video about the book and the conference...
